1. Chevening Scholarships

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme offers awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study for a master’s degree in any subject at any UK university.

Awards are typically for a one-year Master’s degree. Most Chevening Scholarships cover tuition fees, a living allowance at a set rate (for one individual), an economy class return airfare to the UK, and additional grants to cover essential expenditure.

2. Commonwealth Masters Scholarships

The Commonwealth Scholarships are intended for students from developing Commonwealth countries who want to pursue Master’s study in the UK. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID). Each Scholarship provides airfare to and from United Kingdom, tuition and examination fees, personal maintaining allowance, thesis grant (if applicable), initial arrival allowance, among others.

3. Gates Cambridge Scholarships

5. Edinburgh Global Research Scholarships

The University of Edinburgh will offer 30 scholarships to outstanding overseas students who intends to pursue a PhD Research Programme in any field of study offered by the University. Each scholarship covers the difference between the tuition fee for a UK/EU graduate student and that chargeable to an overseas graduate student. The awards do not cover maintenance expenses.

6. Denys Holland Scholarship at University College London

The Denys Holland Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students from any country, who without the support of the scholarship would be unable to secure the funding required to study at University College London (UCL), and who can demonstrate their intention to make full use of the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union. The scholarship is worth £9,000 per annum and scholars may choose to use all or part of the scholarship to cover fees.

7. University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships

University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available in the majority of Sussex Schools, and are awarded on the basis of academic performance and potential to non-EU international students who have applied for and been offered a place for eligible full-time Postgraduate Taught degrees at the University of Sussex. The scholarship is 50% off international student tuition fee and is offered for one year.

8. Bristol University Think Big Scholarships

In 2019, Bristol University is investing £500,000 to help the brightest and best international students come to the University of Bristol. Think Big Undergraduate scholarships and Think Big Postgraduate scholarships are available for courses starting in 2019. The tuition fee awards range from £5,000 to £20,000.

9. University of West London International Ambassador Scholarships

The International Ambassador Scholarship recognizes and provides financial support for outstanding students who wish to pursue a full time undergraduate or postgraduate degree at University of West London. The scholars will act as international ambassadors for the University of West London. Up to 50 scholarships worth up to £5,000 are available.

10. University of West England Chancellor’s Scholarships

The University of the West of England, Bristol offers more than £100,000 worth of scholarships for international students each year. This includes the Chancellor’s Scholarship wherein the recipient will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments. The scholarship covers the full tuition fees for one academic year.

11. Sheffield Hallam University Transform Together Scholarships

13. Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarships

The Warwick Graduate School awards around 25 Chancellor’s International Scholarships to the most outstanding international PhD applicants yearly. The scholarships are open to students of any nationality and to any discipline offered at Warwick. The scholarships include the full payment of overseas tuition fee and a maintenance stipend.

14. Developing Solutions Scholarships at University of Nottingham

The Developing Solutions Scholarships are designed for international students from Africa, India or one of the developing countries of the Commonwealth who want to study a Masters Degree at the University of Nottingham and make a difference to the development of their home country. Each year, 105 scholarships are awarded– 30 scholarships will cover the full tuition fee while 75 will cover 50% of the tuition fee.

15. Allan & Nesta Ferguson Masters Scholarships at University of Sheffield

The University of Sheffield, in collaboration with the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust and the Sheffield Institute for International Development, is now able to offer 12 scholarships (over 3 years) targeted at international students from developing countries for a number of courses that are affiliated with the Sheffield Institute for International Development.

16. University of Essex Africa Scholarship

The University of Essex Scholarship is for an international student from an African nation and are self-funding your postgraduate studies, you could be eligible for a scholarship of £4,000, paid as a discount on your tuition fee.

17. Ferguson Scholarships At Aston University
