Pharmacy Council Ghana: Registration, Application Forms and More
Pharmacy Council Ghana says they are a “statutory body established by an Act of Parliament, the health professions Regulatory Bodies Act (Act 857) to regulate the practice of pharmacy”.
They generally oversee the activities of pharmacies in the country, register Pharmacies and Pharmacists, give certificates, among others. They ensure the highest form of pharmaceutical care.
In the future, the council hopes to work hand in hand with international pharmaceutical organizations to enhance their effectiveness.
They register and give licenses to pharmacists who have attained a first degree or master’s degree and take on a form of education called Continuous Professional Development that helps pharmacy practitioners acquire more practical and theoretical knowledge after completing their formal education. These lessons are even needed to be eligible for re-licensure.
