Ghana’s 2023/2024 Academic Year to Start October 3, 2023
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has unveiled the kick-off date for the 2023/2024 school year, making the announcement before the third-term break for the 2022/2023 academic session.

GES has marked October 3, 2023, as the inaugural day for the new academic year for both primary and junior high schools. The information was disseminated through an official notice on the service’s Facebook page.
While the full academic schedule for the year remains undisclosed, the GES has yet to reveal the calendar for Senior High Schools.
Earlier this year, the service declared its intention to revert pre-tertiary institutions to a standard September-start academic calendar.
